Baby boy is due in 11 days (February 28, 2022) and his nursery is no where near completed. In fact, it was a storage room up until 12 days ago and we finally got everything out of there last Monday and had the carpets cleaned. My original plan was to not buy anything for his room as we couldn’t decide on a theme. I am planning on moving Oakley’s dresser to his room once her new one arrives in May (hers has a changing table on top that she doesn’t need / use anymore). We are also moving her crib into his room when she is ready to transition to a toddler bed or floor bed, I really didn’t want (or need) two cribs in the house as baby boy will be sleeping in our room until he is at least six months old.
My original plan was to move Oakley’s glider into his nursery but now that she can crawl up onto the chair, she absolutely loves sitting it so I decided to order him his own glider. I also then realized I needed his own book case, another diaper pail, etc. Once I was able to get into the room, it truly dawned on me that I needed to actually order things for his room to make it his own and not just wait for her hand me downs for everything. While we will be using what we can from her room, below is what I ordered for him:
